Qetsiyah, Silas & Petrova Doppelganger Qus + Theory
If Bonnie’s spell to turn Silas to stone was broken when she died, how come Qetsiyah’s spell didn’t break when she died? Why was he still imprisoned on the Island?
Also, if doppelgangers are created as the loophole for immortality, why were the Petrova doppelgangers created?
My Theory:
A) Silas actually DID manage to give the girl he loved immortality before Qetsiyah found out. And Qetsiyah killed her doppelganger unknowingly, not the real, immortal her. And so Silas’ lover is still out there - immortal - with the the Petrovas (Tatia, Katherine then Elena) as her doppelgangers. (This would explain why Stefan - the doppelganger - was so drawn to both Katherine and Elena). Also, Tatia had a child with an ‘unkown man’ -my bet? The father was one of Silas’ doppelgangers.
or (less likely) B) Qetsiyah managed to give herself immortality as well as Silas. This would explain why her spell didn’t break that imprisoned Silas and also would explain why she didn’t turn up when the veil was dropped (Vaughn may have been lying when he said she found him when he died and reminded him of his duty). So Qetsiyah is out there and has doppelgangers (perhaps the Petrovas or perhaps Bonnie as she is related to her).
